Trail Stewardship

About Trail Stewardship
Do you love working outdoors? Are you the type of person that would take great pride in knowing local hikers are enjoying a well-groomed trail that you helped maintain? If so, then our Trails Committee needs volunteers like you! Our Chapter-maintained trails feature bright, visible blazes, sturdy footbridges, and wide, clear paths. Our volunteers work extremely hard to ensure our trails are free of litter, brush, and fallen trees. If you’d like to help keep our trails in tip-top condition and share in the pride we have for our trails, then please consider joining us on one of our trail projects!

Trail Adopters Program
Have a trail you love to hike all the time or just want to have a little piece of the woods to help maintain? How about becoming a Trail Adopter! Adopt a whole trail, or just a portion of it! Trail Adopters periodically (preferably 2-4 times a year) hike their trail and report back any issues! Trail Adopters can take care of minor work like brushing, refreshing blazes, or clearing minor branches after storms. Equipment provided! Major blowdowns are taken care of by volunteers from the Trails Committee! Contact our Trail Adopter Coordinator for more information:
Report a Trail Issue!

Found an issue on one of our trails? Our Trails Committee now monitors Trailforks for trail reports. Download the app and report any issues you find on the trail! (Trailforks is free to use in your home area! If our trails are outside your home area, you can still submit reports or use the ‘Contact Our Trails Chair’ form on this page.)
